Half Way Party

So this deployment is over half-way done!! And thank goodness since this has been our hardest deployment yet!! Everything with has been emotionally draining, and trying. But soon John will be home to hold my hand through the rest of it. But this party was to celebrate the half-way point in the deployment. It was put on command Family Readiness Group. It was wonderful, the weather could of been nicer, but what can I expect it is Port Hueneme, its always cold!!

The many moods of Noah...

They had a pinata. Isaacwaited so patiently and tried so hard. He did have a hard time with him not being the one that BROKE it, but maybe next time. I told him that he needed to eat more veggies and the food mom cooks, and not just PBJ and chicken nuggets and then next time he would be strong enough. So far it has not worked, but at this point I am willing to try anything. LOL
Isaac was very selective in his picking of the candy, he carefully walked around, picking up only what he knew he liked!
Noah's new game. Throw and go get it. He played it forever.
Isaac enjoying his loot!
Noah walking around the table.
I just thought that it was so cute that his hands were behind his head as he was sleeping.

Kids Day

The military had a Kid's Day so I braved it alone. I generally try to do this kinda things with someone else so I have more hands, but it was a last minute decision to go...so we had a nice time just the 3 of us.

Isaac loves the cow for Chic-Fil-A. I promise we don't go there alot. :)

I often fell bad for Noah. He goes to these things and just sits in the stroller, most of the time he is such a trooper, but he was getting a little upset that Isaac was havin all the fun so...
I found him a special toy. I didn't give one to Isaac so that Noah would be special.
We wondered around the place and I saw a table that was having drawings, so I asked how much, they replied nothing, so I entered my name.... And we WON and Xbox 360!! John has wanted one well since they came out, but we barely use the other 3 systems that we have, so I kept saying maybe later. Now he got one for FREE!!!
They had a PT course, that Isaac wanted to try so bad. So the lady humored him.

Camping...

So I decided with alot of pushing from the ward members, to take the boys on the over night camping trip. We were camping about 4 miles for the chapel, so I figured at worst we go home and come back the next morning. I also decided not to mess with a tent, and just sleep the one night in the car. Which worked for the 3 of us, and only for one night!!! But it worked. It was actually wonderful, and not too stressful. Isaac just ran and played with the kids all nite, I didn't have too many issues to deal with there. He thoroughly enjoyed running and running and running did I mention how much they ran!! Noah had a blast too, he crawled everywhere, but he was mad when I wouldn't let him crawl into the street. Hey a mom has boundaries you know!! The boys went to bed so easy too, and early. Both of the boys were in bed by 8:30 and the campfire started around 9. So I was able to sit and listen and enjoy. Not having to worry which of my kids was about ready to burn himself. I was reminded on more than one occasion that we did have a pediatrician present. I actualy forgot to get the camera out until the next morning, and then I didn't really take alot but here are the few I have....
Yes!! I even brought Scrappy!!! The kids in the ward were so happy to run his ragged as well!!

Playing catch up

Ok so I hate when I have to do massive blog post to get caught up with what has been going on so I will make an effort the next few days to post one new blog post until I am caught up...I am not sure which of these events happened first so here in a random order for the next few days is out recent life....First UP
                                                    SWIMMING LESSONS
Since Isaac HATES water, and even taking a bath I decided that I would sign him up for the Pikes swim class and see if that helps him learn to love the water. And it worked!! Even now bath time is not such a fight. He still freaks out when he gets water anywhere near his eyes, but he is now able to get water on his face, so in time!! Here are some pictures I took of him enjoying the big pool as he calls it.
He was so terrified as we were waiting
Not sure what to think of all those people in that gaint bathtub
Those goggles are the only ones he will wear now, so we had to trade the teacher for them LOL
He was suppose to be practicing blowing bubbles but Isaac refused!
Getting closer...
Isaac is great at the strokes, on more that one occasion I have heard the teacher mention that he does them so well, and that he remembers them from week to week. :)
and closer...
Here they were suppose to go under water for a ring. After 4 weeks of lessons, he still has never put his head under water, but we are getting closer, so soon. Cross you fingers....
