Been Waiting...

Sorry that I have neglected you blog, I have been waiting for what I am not sure. I have been waiting for good news, happy news, a look up in life. I feel that although we have many many blessings, I have only been reporting bad news on here.  I had been waiting for some good news, something happy to tell you, but that time has not come yet, and yet I have news. Early this week John called me as he was at work and started the conversation with "I want to mentally prepare you..." OH WOW!!! Does he know me so well after only 6 years. The news floored me! I tryed to stay calm as I was talking to him, I didn't want him to think that I couldn't handle it. So as soon as I got off the phone with him I called my sisters. And told them. So the week went on with this thought brewing, freaking me out WHAT IF... Well yesterday it was basically confirmed, and now John is tell others, and he doesn't do that unless he know for sure!! When we come back from leave for Christmas, we will see each family for the first time for Christmas in 5 yrs, John will be leaving for Afghanistan, a few weeks later. He was already planning on deploying in Mid-February. But with the big troop increase, the Navy will be sending John a few weeks earlier to Afghanistan. I am dealing. I think I am more upset that he has to leave early than anything. I think. I am scared. This will be the first since we meet that we he deploys I won't go home for the whole time. I will visit, ALOT!! But I will be here all by myself with the boys. That most days I feel like I can barely make it until 4 when John gets home. And Noah has to see the eye dr again, the neurologist again, and an oropedic dr, AND and ear dr. I do have a wonderful ward who has already said that someone would go with me so I don't have to brave it alone. And our ward has been great so far, so I am sure that they will continue to be amazing, but still. Isaac will be in a different preschool, after the break, one that is for kids that fall on the austic spectrum, and have speech delays so that will be helpful for him. And its in the afternoon 4 days a week. So we will see about that. He is doing better, his speech is slowly improving, with his speech therapy. He tries so hard and is great kid. Yesterday he was so cute. Uncle Adam (one of John's older brothers) stop by for the afternoon. He lives up in Northern Cali, but was dropping off a load around here and had a few hours so he came to hang. He just wanted to hang out with "his friend". He got to play in Adam's truck and LOVED IT!!! Adam, John and Isaac played with John's new motorcycle, that I bought him. And was just being so cute. It is those days that are going to get me through I think. I hope. I pray

October 2009

So October is always one of our busiest month. And come the end of the month, well its hard to keep up on things. We had our fair share of activities this year too. The month started with my Mom coming to visit, and I have pictures of that somewhere, but I can't find them, and ended with Vegas! We also found the local pumpkin patch and took the kids. I was a bit disappointed since we didn't get to actually pick the pumpkins off the vine like we did in Hawaii. We got to pick them out of rows and pre-picked pumpkins. But either way we had fun. I just love the picture of the boys together Noah loves Isaac so much, and since Isaac has a hard time with the way Noah drives his senses crazy, it was good that I caught a pictures of them both enjoying their time together since it seems far and few between.

A few days after the pumpkin patch we set out to carving the pumpkins. It was fun to watch Isaac with the pumpkins. I missed the actual shot of Isaac reaching into the pumpkin, but he did, only after John put a sucker in there. He wouldn't do it again, and was scared even when John put his hand in there, hence him hugging him in the picture. LOL. John and I carved the pumpkins and Isaac stuck his with decorating pegs that we found at Walmart last yr for 50 cents. Mine is the spider and John's the the wolves.

Suddenly it was the day of our first Halloween function, and we hadn't even begun picking and assembling our costume theme that we had picked for this year. So we drug out last yrs costumes and recycled, figuring no one would ever know that we were it last year. But John spilt the beans at our first function. Anyway Isaac was Batman, Noah was Robin, John was Joker, and I was Posion Ivy. We took the boys to John's work Trunk or Treat, and a Haunted House for kids, which Isaac laughed at all the people and then asked the guy holding the chain saw if he could play with it! I was like GOOD NIGHT!! This kid doesn't get dangerous at ALL!! Then to the ward's Trunk or Treat. At the ward trunk or treat, which was actually 3 wards combined. Isaac went to half the cars then told John "I'm done, I don't want any more." Then had like 2 pieces and then informed us "I don't want anymore you can have it. I don't like it" What 3 yr old doesn't like candy???

The main reason that October is a big month for us is because it is our Anv month. And we try to do something with just us for a few days. It doesn't always happen but we try to do it every year. This year was our 5 yrs Anv. We decided to go to Vegas without the kids. We picked Vegas cause it wasn't too far way, and there seemed to be lots of things to do. Besides gamble and drink. We actually had alot of fun. I have been to Vegas a few times, but never really went in any of the hotels. So when John said it was a fun place to go I was sceptic. But WOW!! Is it a beautiful place. Well the inside of those hotels are well AMAZING!! Its like cities inside of hotels. The inside looks like the outside. With the ceilings painted like blue skies, and the stores are little roof like things that make it look like shops would on a street. The Venitan, Paris, and Ceasar's Palace were the most impressive to me. WOW!! We did get to go to some other fun stuff. We went and saw a hpynotist. And we both got hypnotized. Which was an experience that I didnt' expect. It wasn't like I thought that it would at all. It was like a dream. It was WEIRD!! But fun, and if you get a chance to go, go see Marc Savard. And if you go before Nov 25, 2009 let me know cause we have 4 free tickets. But most of all it was a great time with each other and with out the kids.

Lastly an update on the kids and how things are going in that department. We had Noah evaluated with the pushing of a dr, Isaac's OT, and the WIC lady. And to be honest now I am glad we did. He is at a 6-9 month level with most of his skills. So he is now recieving PT, and OT, as well as eye moment/muscle Early Intervention person from a company called the JR Blind. With his PT he is not cruising on furniture, which he had never done before, as well as trying to walk so he is making huge improvements. I do have a video of him walking behind one of those toys somewhere. But I can't find it either.
As for Isaac well...we took him to the school district to get him some help, and the decided that he needed to be tested to find out where his falls on the autisic spectrum. That doesn't mean that he is "autisic" but that he has alot of tendancies of autism. So they did the test and told me that he falls on the spectrum, and that they would finish up the paper work and get back to me. Meanwhile they sent me to the county to get him tested there as well to see what kind of help they can give me. So poor Isaac has been through ringer of evals lately. But either way I am confinant that he will get the help he needs. And that with the 5 hrs of therapy I have between both boys, that I will be a busy busy mom!!

Scrap in a Zap

So as mentioned before I am in the process of starting an online business. It will sell scrapbook page kits. People will be able to buy them preassembled or unassembled, so they can put them together any way they want. The preassembled ones are going like hotcakes around here, since I have found more people that want their pages done for them. Any way here are some of the pages I have done so far. All the paper embellishments are cut with my cricut. I have had so much fun. And I am getting my own books done these days...

These pumpkins and leaves were cut with my cricut too, and will be sold on the site, along with Christmas trees, and snowmen, along with house, YES 3-D houses!!! I am working on my Halloween set now....

I think that this bride and groom are so cute. One option that I am going to have is for people to specify what color hair, tux, bouquet, skin, eyes ect. Cause its always nicer to have something that looks like you on the page right!!
I am also going to sell just the embellishments. Here are some of the animals I have made.

This is one of my favorites ones so far. I love the web, with the little spider, which were both cut, then I took a craft brush, and tinted the inside of the web with black ink to make it look cooler.
And the witch, her cat and broom SO CUTE!!
I really loved the way the colors turned out in this one. You can't see the background page well, which is something that I will need all your help with. If you know a good way to take pictures of things like this and cut out all the back ground while making the colors vibrant and clear. I would love to learn. If I need to buy a program or something I can do that too.

Well this is what I have come up with so far. I have lots of ideas, for fathers day, I love mama, bathtime, baby's first, everyday stuff as well as holiday ones. I have a Snow Day one, and a 4th of July of that are cut and not assebled yet, so I will get those together and show you, maybe by a link. I am thinking that I am going to sell on ebay first get that up and going then start another website. I am not sure though. But I do need your help with lots. I need to know what you guys think is a good price, ways to take pictures, helpful business tips, and even ideas that you might have for themes.

Morale Boost and other Randomness

As stated before I miss John ALOT!! After one of the hardest weeks of my life Sunday being my complete break down after someone suggested I just keep Noah in primary with me as I conducted. I just started to cry, and then well couldn't stop. Anyway after our wonderful ward surrounded me with love and support, dinner, and an ear and a shoulder to cry on. After settling down for the night on Sunday just wanting to close my eyes, I laid on the couch to watch a movie, and fall asleep, and my phone rang (it was 10pm) and I thought OH NO what is wrong, no one calls that late unless something is wrong!! I answered the phone with a Hello? And on the other side of the line was something I never expected, a familiar Hello. Although John told me that I would not hear from him the entire time he was gone, some of the guys broke the rules, and took their cells phones. After his hello, I was just a bubblering idiot, which is I am sure is what he DIDN'T want to hear. But I was the best moral boost I could have possibly had. Some of the things that I have happened this last week, where things that I wish I could of discussed with him, like the fact that they are testing Isaac for Autism this week, and Noah has an evaluation for is physcial delays, his DR is concern about the way he stands. The fact that I had to choose a preschool all by myself (I hate making those kinda decisions by myself.) But of coarse John knew exactly what to say, he knew exactly how to make me feel better, and by the time our 10 minute conversation was over, I was rejuvenated, ready to start again, ready for a new week of all the same stuff. So did it make me less crazy when Isaac pooped in his bathroom sink, NO!! But I didn't feel like crying my eyes out!! YAY!! It did help that Isaac started preschool this week. Also a YAY!! Or maybe a Double YAY!! Well anyway after taking some pictures of Isaac headed to preschool I realized there are TONS of pictures I have not shared with you all. So here they are...
Isaac singing with joy at the table, eating his breakfast, the first day of preschool

Noah wondering why we are all up this early. Noah normally wakes up at 9, but with preschool starting at 8:15. Everyone is up by 7:30am. Which Noah wants to take a nap by 10!! YAY!!!

Scrappy rides with us to the preschool, and then crawls in Isaac's carseat after he gets out. I think he missses his friend

Also as you notice there are no pictures of Isaac actually going to preschool, thats because Isaac ran too fast to get one. He was so excited, he never once looked back!!
Bunco Party

Isaac loves to put on John's top and hat and walk around saluting, it is so cute!!

Playing at the Elder's Quorum BBQ

Noah wants to play with Isaac outside so bad, but with nothing but rocks its not a good idea...

This was the day we got our new table, we feed the missionaries, and it was just too picture perfect not to take a picture...

The chairs when we got them, they look 1000 times better now

This is how Isaac acts most days when he sees John, so cute

After doing the dishes one day, I could hear Noah screaming, so I went to check it out, and Isaac had blocked the exit to the toy corner, so Noah was stuck in there to play with him

Isaac helping himself to the food in the cupboard, boys will eat you out of house and home, even at 3, well Isaac will eat all the Frosted Mini Wheats in the house...

Another bunco picture

John's new grill on the car. It looks really good. The magnum is now even more of a "guy" car. I need a mom SUV!!!
