Seabee Days 2009

So every year the base is opened up to the public, the seabees bring out all the good equipment that is kept in storage for just such an occasion, the battalions get out their nice dress whites with medals and they put on a parade, where they have a plane fly over head and shot blanks off. Then after the parade the let everyone climb, jump, and play on all the equipment that seabees use. They have food, and booths to paint face, puppet shows, and everything that you can think of for a summer festival. It was alot of fun, and Isaac loved playing on all the stuff. And John well he loved playing on it too just like a big kid there if you ask me. The Boyz had so much fun. And next year Noah will be able to join in the fun more.

They played on this Hummvee more than any other peice. You could climb up in the turret and everything. Sit in the swing, climb in the back on top, basically any place your body could fit. This is a bulldozer, and it is what John has the most expereince on, although he can and has drove all this stuff. This is what he has logged the most hours on.

Ever since we lived with Grandpa and Grandma when John was in Africa Isaac likes to play like he is sleeping, a little game him and Grandpa use to play, well he does it every where now...

The tires on this stuff was HUGE!!

We've Got a Mission

Isaac Turned 3!!

Yes I know he turned 3 at the beginning of the month. But its been a crazy month, well a crazy year. We are about 3 weeks behind on every holiday, easter, birthdays, mothers day, and we still have not gotten around to father's day. But anyway we finally had Isaac's party and it was alot of fun. I had a blast getting ready for it. And was way excited about my ideas for the party which I combined a few party ideas that were on birthdaypartyideas.com together to make one great party. Since Isaac likes Little Einsteins so much we had a party based around that. I sent out the invites and started planning. We had four parts to our mission. One for each character, and each part of the mission they made or got something for their goodie bag, plus they got to fly throught clouds every time. It was alot of fun.
Leo: they made their very own batons, or Isaac calls them his conducting sticks. Annie: Got a blow up microphone, and sang a little song. June: made a craft made out of space themed foam stickers.
Quincy: Homemade trumpet out of old toilet paper rolls.
Isaac's Rocket Cake
They really are becoming the best of friends. Isaac has his days that he doesn't want to have anything to do with him, but most days its Where's my Noah? Or can I wake up Noah and play with him? (The answer to that is ALWAYS NO!!)
Men and the silly things they do... This is John slicing all the balloons with my good 8" Pampered Chef knive. This he thought was a great idea at a 3 yrs old birthday party. Well the parents got a kick out of it anyway!!

And the Nuerologist said...

that we need an MRI. And that more in likely Noah has something pushing on his brain that is causing his eye condition, but we need an MRI to confirm it. So overall we really don't know anything new, since I was told that he would probably need an MRI, but at least we are getting closer. I will keep you all posted.

OH BTW Isaac finally got in to an OT and one that the insurance will pay for, so even better. So I knew it would happen, but my kids are finally getting the help the need.

The Wide World of Shari

So I have many many project that I am working on in my neck of the woods that is keeping me from my blogging life, not to mention the normal mother/wife resposniblities that I have. But I am currently painting the rest of my house...pictures to come, making Isaac's 3rd birthday invitations from SCRATCH! Which was a new experience for me since normally Whitney helps me with that department, thanks so much Whit. Along with Noah's 1st birthday, since that is right around the corner too. But the reason that I wanted to take this quick second to blog was cause I found this awesome ladies blog that posts the coupons to craft stores everywhere, everyweek!! Since all my project have me running to the store and spending more mulah than I wish. I was grateful to stumble across her site. And even more a bonus is she does cricut stuff and has tutorials on there too. Since is great since I have the cricut and don't know nearly enough about to be able to use it in all of its potential. Well anyway enjoy!

Here comes the PAINT...

So Home Depot had a great sale on paint over Memorial Day so we decided to go and get the paint for the Living Room and the Master Bedroom (since that is the only colors we have decided on, or I have decided on). So on Friday was taped off the room during the kids nap time, and then we bedtime came we busted out the paint. We pick pumpkin butter for the three walls and loved the color from start to finish. So then on Saturday during nap we painted the accent wall Wild mushroom. Well when we opened the paint can, we looked at each other, John asked me if I was sure, and I said, "Well, paint is cheap." And then we went to painting. The first coat looked like, well as John put it something has come out of Isaac and Noah's diapers. We were not sure what things could be done at this point, so we painted the second coat and went to bed with the hopes that it would turn out better after it dried. We woke up and we were still alittle unsure. We did the touch ups around base boards, ceilings and the corner were the two colors met and just hoped that when it was all said and done it would look good. I also asked a few ladies in the ward to stop by so I could get their HONEST opinion, I asked them to tell me if they didn't like it. But the second that John put the white wooden blind that came with the house, I loved it. Isn't it funny how one thing can change our opinon so much. And everyone that has come over loves it too. I then cleaned the carpet and moved the couches back into the Living Room, and now we will hang my painting and we will move out my room. The family has been spending all of their time in there since the downstairs was, well a bit crowded or had wet paint. Here are some pictures of it so far...
