Easter 2011

So with Isaac having the week before Easter off, and us needing to register the Expedition in Oregon to save us a bundle of money we headed North for a few days, including Easter. We had to wait until Wednesday to leave since I had to attend an HOA meeting to make sure we didn't get fined for putting in a different door than the one originally installed in the house, remember when our house got hit by a car, well we had to put in a different door. ANYWAY! We left on Wednesday much later than we normally do, due to some stuff John had to do at work. So we got in way way late at the Ward's. The next day John dealt with the Expedition registrations as the kids and I hung out with Jonathon and the kids. We took a walk down the street, and saw wild turkeys, bulls, cows, and calves as well as I few huge dogs that wanted to attack Scrappy! On Friday we just hung out again, this time Katie was off work, and John was there with us. We took another walk down the street, this time not so many wild things came to visit. But it was nice to be out in nature taking in some fresh air. Friday night my mother-in-law watched the kids and us adults had some much need time to hang and chill without worrying what the kids were doing, or who was killing who. We went to dinner, went and saw some of the family and just hung out it was a night full of laughs and tons of inside jokes to come! Saturday we had most of the family come up to the mountain and help clean up and straighten up the 46 acres. It was a day of screams, (we saw many snakes, and lizards, bugs and other creepy things) laughs as we tried to figure out how an old shopping cart with three wheels made it up a mile of a bumpy dirt road. As we joked because we found shoes, socks and even underwear. I were trying to figure out if someone was running around naked. The cousin ran around bounding over captured lizzards, and who could fill there bag with trash first. Later that day the rest of the family came up and we had an egg hunt and a big potluck dinner to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It was wonderful to had 5 out 6 siblings, and all but 2 of the 21 grandchildren all in one house as well as John's Grandma. It was packed but totally filled with tons of laughs, jokes, rough housing and bonding.

The road is pretty bad and so most of the family will not drive their cars up so people with big SUVs normally play taxi on the day of family events. So John, Emily and Joslyn took someone down the road and when they came back, John was in the passenger seat!! I about killed him to find that his FIFTEEN year old niece had conned him into driving, simply by say "You're my favorite uncle!" OMGOODNESS!! If that's all it takes we are in big trouble!!

Here she is driving my car!! A car that he wouldn't let even his best friend, a grown adult, an a fellow Equipment Operator drive!! OH MY we are in for it!!

Legoland

We had gotten some free kids tickets to Legoland from Fantastic Sams when we got the boys' hair cut. We had never previously even thought about going there, but Isaac was so excited when he was given his coupon that we decided to do some looking into it. After visiting the website I was stoked!! It looked like so much fun! So we started to prepare. The tickets that you bought from the Navy ticket place were the same price if you went one day or two, so we decided why not, John had 96 hours of liberty. So we booked a room at Camp Pendleton which is just a few miles from Legoland, and started to prepare for our trip. Isaac was so cute he asked me every day if today was the day. Everyday we went through the same routine: Today is ______ we have _____ and ______, Then we have tomorrow with ______ and ______ and then.....well you get the point. He was so excited. It was nice to see excitement in him. We ended up inviting our friend Ana and her nephew since it was his birthday and kids tickets were free! It was nice to have extra hands, and a kid that could play with Isaac. The say finally came and we got up at 5am to be out the door by 6. We had a long drive and I wanted to be there by opening @ 10. We had so much fun. The kids were great too. Noah used his walker in the park with little frustration. Noah was great considering we went two days straight and he didn't melt down until day two at 4pm. The park was closing soon, by than so we left to head home. I was impressed with how well Isaac listened and didn't run away (a common problem we have as he gets easily distracted by what he wants to do). Noah was a trooper and enjoyed every ride he could ride on. That kid's smile is AMAZING!!

Waiting in line for our first ride
 Look at him :)
Isaac didn't want his picture taken

 Enjoying pizza for lunch
Isaac played with this pizza guy all during lunch

They had a water place that we went and played at. They also had a water park that we went to next, but I didn't get the camera out of that sorry
Isaac was like I am so cold!

 He wanted to swim. LOL

This is what Isaac did the whole time we played here
Day two started at the Sea-life. An aquarium attached to Legoland

They had a place to dig for dinosaur bones as you waited for rides. We were blessed to have a disabled access passed this allowed the pass to wait in line as we played.

Duplo land was the best place for Noah. The older kids were not so impressed but Noah finally had stuff he could do. He loved it!

He was sad that we found him. LOL

He was the train conductor he is growing up so much!

My attempt to take our picture as we were on a ride. Its a good picture of John and I

There was this place that we kept seeing everyone stop at. As we drove in and out of legoland, so on the last day I said we have to stop and see what everyone is looking at. It was beautiful! And I was so happy that I made John stop.

All over legoland are figurines made all out of legos. There was even a Vovlo SUV, and a Mini USA complete with Vegas, and an old west town, that I didn't get a picture of.

This is just for my mom, I know that you love owls so much, when I saw them I thought of you and HAD to get a picture.
