So with Isaac having the week before Easter off, and us needing to register the Expedition in Oregon to save us a bundle of money we headed North for a few days, including Easter. We had to wait until Wednesday to leave since I had to attend an HOA meeting to make sure we didn't get fined for putting in a different door than the one originally installed in the house, remember when our house got hit by a car, well we had to put in a different door. ANYWAY! We left on Wednesday much later than we normally do, due to some stuff John had to do at work. So we got in way way late at the Ward's. The next day John dealt with the Expedition registrations as the kids and I hung out with Jonathon and the kids. We took a walk down the street, and saw wild turkeys, bulls, cows, and calves as well as I few huge dogs that wanted to attack Scrappy! On Friday we just hung out again, this time Katie was off work, and John was there with us. We took another walk down the street, this time not so many wild things came to visit. But it was nice to be out in nature taking in some fresh air. Friday night my mother-in-law watched the kids and us adults had some much need time to hang and chill without worrying what the kids were doing, or who was killing who. We went to dinner, went and saw some of the family and just hung out it was a night full of laughs and tons of inside jokes to come! Saturday we had most of the family come up to the mountain and help clean up and straighten up the 46 acres. It was a day of screams, (we saw many snakes, and lizards, bugs and other creepy things) laughs as we tried to figure out how an old shopping cart with three wheels made it up a mile of a bumpy dirt road. As we joked because we found shoes, socks and even underwear. I were trying to figure out if someone was running around naked. The cousin ran around bounding over captured lizzards, and who could fill there bag with trash first. Later that day the rest of the family came up and we had an egg hunt and a big potluck dinner to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It was wonderful to had 5 out 6 siblings, and all but 2 of the 21 grandchildren all in one house as well as John's Grandma. It was packed but totally filled with tons of laughs, jokes, rough housing and bonding.
The road is pretty bad and so most of the family will not drive their cars up so people with big SUVs normally play taxi on the day of family events. So John, Emily and Joslyn took someone down the road and when they came back, John was in the passenger seat!! I about killed him to find that his FIFTEEN year old niece had conned him into driving, simply by say "You're my favorite uncle!" OMGOODNESS!! If that's all it takes we are in big trouble!!
Here she is driving my car!! A car that he wouldn't let even his best friend, a grown adult, an a fellow Equipment Operator drive!! OH MY we are in for it!!
