Floors

We decided back in January that we were going to redo the floors in the dining room, kitchen and the hallway. The day that John torn everything up was the same day that someone decided to hit our house. SO my floors were put on hold. Let me tell cleaning concrete is annoying. And I hate cleaning around construction.

 FINALLY after 8 weeks of waiting for construction to start on the house and the 4 weeks it took for the rebuild, John was able to start to put in the floor. They were a bit a pain since our house has rounded corners and many many inlets and outlets. Making all of cutting for John.

The finished product. Well almost! John took off time to get the floors done, but not enough, because he never put the trim on before he left. But it will be waiting for him when he gets back in February. 

Strawberry Festival 2011

The same weekend as the boys birthday party was the Strawberry Festival, every year it is a good time. All the rides are free and every thing that you think of is flavored STRAWBERRY!! Everything from fried to chocolate covered strawberries is on the menu. Yummy

Boyz Birthday

Since John was leaving before the boyz birthday we decided that we would through the boys a combined party before he left. We rented out a local playhouse and invited every kids the know and went forth. It was the EASIEST birthday that I have ever put on!! I basically showed up with some breakfast food, since the party was at 10am, and enjoyed!! Well worth it!!

My brother Aaron, his wife, Suzanne, and their son Caleb come up for the party which was super nice of them. The boys had a blast and definitely wore each other out all weekend.

Family Pictures

We try really had to take family pictures once a year. And this year with John heading our for deployment we were forced to take our family pictures earlier than normal. It all worked out since my friend Tiffany offered to take our pictures. They turned out BEAUTIFULLY!!! I love them and she did such a great job with the kids and the melt downs that come with a long photo shoot.

Tiffany took our pictures at the Paramount Ranch which is where Dr Quinn Medicine Woman was filmed. It has seen been opened to the public and as you can see it served as a beautiful back drop for our famikly pictures.
